Patrizia Aspesi – Mali
I knew…
When I visited Mali I knew that it was a country with many problems, after all like the whole African Sael, but despite this, I also knew that it was a place that exuded vitality and joy of life… its people, the teeming markets, the music played in the streets, the tribal festivals, the smile of the women with their daily gestures… not to mention the colorful clothes, the imaginative jewels exhibited to confirm a beauty that is already intrinsic…
Now I don’t know anymore… Since I visited it, many things have changed, but what saddens me most is that, as in other parts of the world, its people, now oppressed, now liberated, again oppressed in a carousel of absurd political changes, are no longer free to smile as before, they can no longer live peacefully because they are the object of the whims of those who decide. And not always for the better.
Now I don’t know anymore… I can only imagine…
However, I hope to be able to return soon: it is a country too beautiful to be forgotten.
Mali
Sapevo…
