They are all involved in the work of the artisanal production of mud bricks, a strenuous and physically demanding activity because it requires the preparation and processing of a large mixture made of earth, clay, sand and water, mixed with a binding material such as rice, straw or hemp fibers.

The mixture is then repeatedly pressed into wooden molds, forming bricks, which are left to dry and harden in the sun for several weeks and to make them resistant and compact in the middle of the rows of bricks, pieces of wood are inserted, which act as a natural reinforcement.

These bricks are called “raw” because they are not baked in ovens.
