A journey and reportage in the heart of southern Morocco, from Marrakech to the Sahara desert. A journey through markets, faces, colors, sand and unique atmospheres.

Daily life still flows linked to traditions, suspended between present and past. In the local markets you can perceive strong and authentic contrasts: places where the value is still in simple things, where food is the primary source of life and sustenance, and where nothing is wasted.

In a world dominated by consumerism, here we still learn to conserve and reuse. Fruit and vegetables become precious goods, animals an integral part of life and exchange.

Religion is deeply present: hundreds of mosques mark the territory and the rhythm of the day is marked by the call to prayer, five times a day.

You travel hundreds of kilometers while the landscape changes slowly, almost silently, before your eyes. Every moment, every scene, would require a stop to be observed and photographed.

Going further and further south, the landscape opens up into the immensity of the Sahara: a sea of dunes where space and time seem to dissolve. Here you are enveloped in warmth and intense colors.

The red and orange of the sand, the ochre of the earth and the clay houses, the deep blue of the sky, the bright green of the oases. A set of contrasts that strikes and stays inside.

An authentic people, who do not easily give smiles, but offer deep, lived and at the same time welcoming looks.

A journey that is much more than a destination: it is experience, observation and storytelling.

Marocco del Sud

“ tra colori intensi e sabbia del deserto “

Viaggio e reportage nel cuore del Marocco del sud, da Marrakech fino al deserto del Sahara.
Un percorso tra mercati, volti, colori, sabbia e atmosfere uniche.

La vita quotidiana scorre ancora legata alle tradizioni, sospesa tra presente e passato. Nei mercati locali si percepiscono contrasti forti e autentici: luoghi dove il valore è ancora nelle cose semplici, dove il cibo è fonte primaria di vita e sostentamento, e dove nulla viene sprecato.

In un mondo dominato dal consumismo, qui si impara ancora a conservare e riutilizzare. Frutta e verdura diventano beni preziosi, gli animali parte integrante della vita e dello scambio.

La religione è profondamente presente: centinaia di moschee scandiscono il territorio e il ritmo della giornata è segnato dal richiamo alla preghiera, cinque volte al giorno.

Si percorrono centinaia di chilometri mentre il paesaggio cambia lentamente, quasi in silenzio, davanti agli occhi. Ogni istante, ogni scena, richiederebbe una sosta per essere osservata e fotografata.

Scendendo sempre più a sud, il paesaggio si apre nell’immensità del Sahara: un mare di dune dove spazio e tempo sembrano dissolversi. Qui si viene avvolti dal calore e da colori intensi.

Il rosso e l’arancio della sabbia, l’ocra della terra e delle case in argilla, il blu profondo del cielo, il verde vivo delle oasi.
Un insieme di contrasti che colpisce e resta dentro.

Un popolo autentico, che non regala facilmente sorrisi, ma offre sguardi profondi, vissuti e allo stesso tempo accoglienti.

Un viaggio che è molto più di una destinazione: è esperienza, osservazione e racconto.
