Eritrea, the scent of poetry

Art Nouveau, art deco and Afrikan style provoke a succession of suggestions that are difficult to experience elsewhere and enchant the traveler, enveloping him in an atmosphere of “a thousand and one nights”.

Between decaying walls, designed in the past, situations and scenes follow one another that seem to have been created for a great theatrical scene.

Faces and bodies seem to express themselves in the awareness of being on a stage, in front of them and spectators who are following their postures, movements, gestures, words, all dictated by references that replicate their essence, amplified by lights and colors.

In Eritrea you often feel suspended in time and on the clouds, where the air smells of poetry.

Liberty, art decò e afrikan style provocano un susseguirsi di suggestioni difficili da vivere altrove e incantano il viaggiatore, avvolgendolo in un’atmosfera da “mille e una notte”.

Tra muri decadenti, disegnati nel passato, si susseguono situazioni e scene che sembrano create per una grande scena teatrale.

Volti e corpi sembrano esprimersi nella consapevolezza di essere su un palcoscenico, davanti e spettatori che ne stanno seguendo posture, movimenti, gesti, parole, tutti dettati da rimandi che ne replicano l’essenza, amplificata peraltro dalle luci e dai colori.

In Eritrea ci si sente spesso sospesi nel tempo e sulle nuvole, dove l’aria profuma di poesia.
