TTA – Travel Tales Award is a Photographic Award, with an open call to collect projects from March 4 to June 2024, with a simple registration and a participation fee of 30 Euros for each Story or series entered for the Award on the www.traveltalesaward.com website: at the same time it opens the call dedicated to single images on Instagram: simply post a photo on Instagram before May 31 2024 with the hashtag #TTA2024 to participate in the selections for the two exhibitions TRAVELGRAM in Colorno and Corigliano, and the possibility to be published on the partners web channels and on Touring magazine.
For the TTA Award each Photographer will be able to participate with one or more portfolios or stories, composed of the images and a synopsis, which can be a real “travel diary” or a story that accompanies the use of the images, or a portfolio series that has a semantic binder (place, style, subject), which helps to understand the meaning of the journey lived or human experiences, the lessons of life or the fascination of places or travel companions. This year is possible to partecipate also with Syntographic stories (created with AI software), for the new section dedicated to Imaginary Tales.
The calls for Single Shots on IG and for portfolios and stories on the TTA website will be used to select single and series photos, which will be screened by a commission of experts and professionals composed as follows:

- Gigi Montali, photographer and Ad of Colorno Photo Life Festival
- Simona Ottolenghi, owner of ViaggioFotografico.it and curator of Otto Gallery
- Giovanni Pelloso, director of IL FOTOGRAFO Magazine
- Renato Scialpi, Touring Magazine journalist
- Anton Valchev Savov, EFIAP, ESFIAP and FIAP Liaison Officer for Bulgaria
Once the call is closed, the first selection of projects will be made: 50 portoflio and travel stories will be selected for their beauty, evocative power, depth of vision and use of photographic language, and by July 31 the list of 50 finalist works will be published. In addition, 10 Syntographic stories (created with AI software) will be selected, deriving from the new section dedicated to Imaginary Tales, which will be the protagonists of a dedicated eeditorial project.
Among the thousands of images published on IG with the hashtag #TTA2024, 100 finalist photos will be selected, from which the jury will then choose the maximum 50 authors to be invited to the TRAVELGRAM exhibitions.
The planned initiatives are numerous, and include a solo exhibition for the overall winner at Otto Gallery in 2025, 3 portfolios in the magazine Il Fotografo, stories among the 50 selected chosen and published on the partners’ channels, single pictures selected from the IG call published on Touring magazine and/or choosen for the TRAVELGRAM exhibitions at Colorno Photo Life and Corigliano Calabro Fotografia in September, the exhibition of the ten selected projects in November 2024 at OTTO Rooms & Photogallery in Rome, the book TRAVEL TALES IV for 15/20 authors, the book IMAGINARY TALES for ten AI Sintographyc stories and various awards.
